An artwork by Didier Guillon
To celebrate Art, Beauty and the hoped-for rebirth in the city of Venice, Fondation Valmont sets up in the spaces of the Fondaco the JANUS exhibition inspired by the two-faced Janus, the charismatic Roman God with two faces, with artworks by Didier Guillon, collector, patron and an artist himself. Giano Bifronte (Ianus Bifrons), is one of the archaic divinities of the ancient Latins and Romans, revered since the dawn of the city of Rome. Depicted with two faces, one mirroring the other, Janus is the god of beginnings, doors and passages.
